This is the hand to carry your ranged weapon

-
Attack Strength -wise, 211, 215, 307, 425, 1007, 1130
all definitely add to ranged AS. Khaladon confirmed that Paladin spell Dauntless
works for ranged AS. I believe Paladin Zealot does as well, but
not positive on that one.
-
Decreasing fire rt are
506, 509, 606, and 1035.
-
Increasing aiming accuracy are 404 and 613.
-
Decreasing aiming accuracy are 412, 607, and 1001,
as per GS4-ILDRAN (10/10/06).
Stats - What Piece Affects What (courtesy of Carabele,
Sylvan at Heart)
- Dexterity Bonus affects Ranged AS
- Strength Bonus affectsFire RT (every 10 bonus decreases fire rt by 1
second)
- Discipline ? (whether stat or bonus is unknown but my bet would be
Bonus) affects Aiming Accuracy
- Agility plays directly into DS. This isn't specific for ranged only, but
rather generally.
- Both Agility and Intuition play into Evade success, which is an
important part of the defensive equation for archers as well.
- Perception/2 roughly for DS. Yes, perception is very important for an
archer as it effects the three main areas - AS,DS, and aiming, also aids AS
at the rate of +1AS per 4 ranks over 40 (so your first +1AS happens at 44
ranks), maxed at 2x Ranks/Level (so 22nd level is when you start seeing it
if you 2x the skill).
- Ambush increases accuracy of hiding aimed shots, also adds AS at the
rate of +1AS per 4 ranks over 40 (so your first +1AS happens at 44 ranks),
maxed at 2x Ranks/Level (so 22nd level is when you start seeing it if you 2x
the skill).
- Ambush and Perception add, so if you can 2x them both, you'll get +2AS
every 4 ranks over 40.
- Dodge is almost a must for archers, since you don't get any Parry DS,
you must get Evade DS through your Ranged training and Dodge training to
avoid getting hit
Bow Enchant
- Remember that higher enchant will also increase your ranged defense
since the enchant of the bow (not of the bow/arrow combo, but just of the
bow) is added directly into ranged defense.
